In response to the disaster, the charity 'Design for Disasters' asked nine Thai studios to design earthquake-proof schools. The sheltered space beneath the classroom features room for children to run and play. The classroom not only provides a space for students to learn, but it also offers a welcoming atmosphere for children who were affected by the earthquake.
