Implications - Lagerfield's designs are so intricate and elaborate that they almost serve as a co-star. However, the real hero of this film is Jan Kounen. In addition to starring as the male lead the film, Jan Kounen is the film's director. The film is based on a fictional novel released in 2002 by author Chris Greenhaigh, and focuses on the part of 1920 Paris that was responsible for Coco Chanel's vaunted Chanel No. 5.
