Purina Cat Chow has launched a mobile, phone-free experience called the Therapod, which brings certified therapy cats from Pet Partners directly to college campuses in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. This initiative is strategically run during high-stress periods such as finals week, the start of the academic year, and midterms.

Purina Cat Chow's activation is part of the broader Cats as Therapy Project. As part of Therapod, students are offered a 10-minute, screen-free interaction with cats in a dedicated mobile unit.

Ultimately, the mobile cat therapy units seek to address two urgent and measurable problems — rising stress levels reported by nearly half of Americans and unhealthy phone dependency among Gen Z, where 83% describe a problematic relationship with their devices.
