The pumpkin oats are made from just 10 ingredients, all of which are vegan-friendly. This recipe calls for steel cut oats, however rolled oats can also be used as an equally healthy substitute. Once the oatmeal has been cooked, the dish is infused with pumpkin butter and pumpkin pie spice, which gives it a familiar autumn flavor. Coconut sugar or maple syrup can also be added to provide a touch of natural sweetness. The dish can then be enhanced with healthy extras such as nuts or seeds.
The seasonal recipe delivers the familiar taste of pumpkin pie in the form of a healthy breakfast.
