Beer-Tech Company Pubinno is Integrated with Bitcoin Payment Infrastructure

Pubinno, the San Francisco-based tech firm that "builds the Internet of Beer with artificial intelligence," recently announced it's now integrated with bitcoin payment infrastructure. The brand began accepting bitcoin payments using the lightning network at the #LightningHackdaysIST. By using their lightning network-enabled wallets, participants could automatically pour their own beer in seconds.

“We had a successful POC, and hundreds of people became a part of the lightning-fast perfect beer experience by paying with bitcoin.” Can Algul, Pubinno’s co-founder and CEO, says. We aim to spread this bitcoin payment infrastructure in all bars that use Pubinno technologies in the world.

The Smart Tap accepts payments by scanning a QR code on its screen from a wallet that supports lightning network. The tap receives confirmation of the payment (which takes roughly two seconds) and then pours the beer. Through this technology, beer lovers can hygienically pour beers in any amount they want without having to limit themselves to standard sizes, such as 30, 40, or 50 CLs.
