Reduced Plastic Foodservice Partnerships

Prowrap and Tortilla Partnered to Reduce Plastic Waste

Prowrap and Tortilla have partnered in the UK alongside Disposables & Catering Supplies (DCS) to help contribute towards the reduction of plastic use in foodservice environments. The partnership will see Mexican street food brand Tortilla utilizing the Speedwrap Pro 300 Dispenser and plastic-free refill rolls to greatly reduce plastic use and CO₂ emissions each year. Tortilla estimates that the move will save enough plastic to reach almost the same length as the Burj Khalifa as a visual representation of how much the update will impact its carbon footprint.

Central Operations Director at Tortilla Emily Bagshaw spoke on the partnership with Prowrap saying, "Delivering fresh, customisable meals without the environmental guilt is core to our mission at Tortilla. We’re thrilled with the Speedwrap Pro, which delivers outstanding performance and efficiency in our stores, while helping us to reduce our supply chain emissions.”
