Jiffy Lube is adding a take-home collectible to service visits, letting drivers leave with a Matchbox 2018 Dodge Durango when they buy a qualifying Full Synthetic Oil Change. Starting Oct. 2, participating locations will hand out the die-cast model while supplies last. Mattel made it specifically for the campaign with Jiffy Lube branding.
The toy comes in Matchbox The Movie packaging and takes its design from a Durango featured in the live-action film. With the movie premiering globally on Apple TV on Oct. 9, the giveaway serves as campaign merch rather than a typical toy-shelf find.
For shoppers, a routine maintenance stop now includes a small keepsake that can make a qualifying oil change feel a bit more rewarding. It also brings a bit of brand convergence to the visit by linking car care with movie collecting in one handoff.
