In addition to having Lady Gaga on its cover, the April 2009 issue of Asos features an editorial that shows men how to look casual but chic this upcoming Summer.

The key to casual chic, according to the “Preppy Boy” editorial, is to update the classic sportswear with stripes, checks and chinos.

“Preppy Boy” features models Edward Barber and Fletcher Cowan with photography by Helen McArdle. The models were styled by Lee Holmes.

Implications - Men are becoming more and more interested in fashion, art and design, and as such, businesses in all industries should take note of this change. Corporations would strongly benefit from targeting men as an essential part of their demographic. While women were considered the core consumers of past decades, men are increasingly big spenders.
