In addition to Michelle Obama’s elegant style, fashionistas and fashion blogs are obsessed with the artistic and futuristic style of pop star Lady Gaga.

After amusing and shocking us with her zipper eye accessory at her recent “American Idol” performance, Lady Gaga explains her style and passion for fashion in a cover story in the new April 2009 issue of ASOS Magazine.

Lady Gaga explains, “In an abstract way I could say it was very New York, graphic, avant-garde…”

She continues, “My look is art. It’s meant to be walking art all the time. Even if I’m in something casual, the imagery is supposed to be powerful.”

Lady Gaga was photographed by David Venni and styled by Cynthia Lawrence-John for the ASOS Magazine feature.
