This third and latest version of the S House is part of Vo Trong Nghia Architects' continuing effort to produce good quality yet affordable homes for the poor in Vietnam. This prototype prefab home comes with a more stable structure and, impressively, can be constructed on site in only three hours.
The S House consists of a lightweight steel framework, cement board cladding and a reinforced concrete foundation, and offers one large interior space measuring 31.6 square meters.
Vo Trong Nghia Architects haven't yet revealed the exact price of the model, but seeing as how the previous version of the S House cost only $4,000, you can bet that this newer version will also be very affordable. The firm hopes to begin selling the prefab homes not just in Vietnam and South East Asia but also India and various African countries.
