Taking a cue from the printed patterns of the past few seasons, the Preen Spring 2012 collection was full of fantastically soft, yet memorable printed pieces.
Design duo Thea Bregazzi and Justin Thornton's inspiration for this collection was Virginia Woolf. "She was such a strong woman in her time," Bregazzi told Style.com after the show. "But like Orlando, we wanted to time-travel a bit and modernize it."
Feminine features such as white lace, ruffles and hues like cotton-candy pink and Easter-egg yellow added an uncharacteristically girly touch to the Preen Spring 2012 collection. However, the cuts and styles were as sophisticated and classic as ever.
Toward the end of the show, several black pieces made their way into the collection, adding an unexpected touch of downtown edge to the line.
