PRASA Calls Attention to the Dangers of Deforestation

As part of a new initiative to clean up the streets of Johannesburg and other major cities, PRASA (the Paper Recycling Association of South Africa) has launched this riveting ad campaign, which includes informative suggestions and slogans superimposed upon stellar photographs.

A strong proponent of the "reuse, reduce, recycle and recover" philosophy, PRASA has covered the walls of Pretoria and Jo-berg with these educative posters. This particular billboard explains,"1 tree produces 8,500 sheets of paper. 8,500 sheets of paper don’t produce oxygen, shade, home or food. All the more reason to use paper wisely and recycle."

Fifty years down the line, once the Amazon and Pacific Northwest have been robbed of their natural resource, society will be sorry, so why not avoid that nightmarish future by making slight adjustments to certain habits? PRASA is simply asking individuals to be more aware of what they do and how.
