Natalie McCain recently released a new photo series that explores the perception of postpartum bodies. After giving birth, many mothers feel a societal pressure to return to their pre-baby bodies. Instead of scrutinizing postpartum bodies, this series celebrates them.

McCain's series is titled 'After The Baby Is Born' and it is the latest installment in 'The Honest Body Project.' McCain produced the series as a way of combating some of the pressure women face to return to their pre-baby body. As McCain explains, "society puts so much pressure on women to 'bounce back' after giving birth and I want to help break that cycle." Instead of critiquing women, McCain's series celebrates how strong and powerful the female body is.

The series serves as a powerful reminder of how beautiful the postpartum period can be.
