Portable Home Backup Generators

AiPower Builds a Standby-Style Generator You Can Wheel Anywhere

AiPower's 'AiQ13000iRT' is built for homeowners who want standby-style home backup without a fixed installation, while still being able to wheel the unit to jobsites, campsites and off-grid properties. The portable inverter generator can be set up for outages at home and then moved where else power is needed, giving one machine two roles.

Running on gasoline, it delivers 13,000 watts at startup and 10,500 watts in operation, enough for key loads such as refrigerators and HVAC. The enclosed design is meant to keep it working outdoors in rain, while 'CO WATCH-GUARD' shuts down the engine if carbon monoxide levels climb.

At $2,699, the AiQ undercuts the build-out tied to permanent standby systems by avoiding a concrete pad and fuel-line work. Broader availability is expected in early December 2026, and the movable format widens backup power from a fixed home purchase to a tool for homeowners who also need electricity at campsites or off-grid properties.
