Flat-Packed Dishes

Pop-up Tableware by See Yew Siang is Compact and Easy to Clean

Space is becoming more and more of an issue as architects continue to design more compact homes for cities with growing populations, yet creations like the Pop-up Tableware could make this transition much easier to bear. It is a flat-packed collection of dishes and cutlery that easily pack up when not in use.

Designed by See Yew Siang for this year's Red Dot Design award, the Pop-up Tableware is incredibly clever. Complete with a placemat, the forks and knives simply need to be bended just like the bowl itself in order to turn into three dimensional objects capable of spearing and cutting food.

The Pop-up Tableware is also undeniably environmentally friendly. Although it only received an honorable mention from the Red Dot Design award, Pop-up Tableware could still make quite the impact.
