Facebook tested a new in-app feature, titled 'Popular Photos.' Popular Photos lets users scroll through photos in full-sized view in one feed. The photos are organized based on an algorithm, where users can select a photo but will also have the ability to continue scrolling through an endless series of photos from other users on the platform.
Popular Photos could provide users with a more minimalistic feed which could be a popular option. Additionally, the feature shares similarities to Instagram, which is already an extremely popular platform. It also offers a much more visual social media experience, which may be popular among different users.
The social media giant was testing the feature in October, and it has not indicated if it will be rolled out.
