Tilray Has a New Lineup of Popsicle-Branded Alcoholic Drinks

— March 31, 2026 — Lifestyle
The Magnum Ice Cream Company and Tilray Brands have joined forces to launch a new lineup of Popsicle-branded alcoholic drinks in the U.S..

Sold under the Popsicle brand, the new lineup consists of ready-to-drink canned beverages inspired by classic ice lolly flavors. These Popsicle-branded alcoholic drinks are non-carbonated, contain an ABV of 5%, and come in three fruity flavors: Hard Cherry, Hard Orange, and Hard Grape. The idea behind the launch is to lean into the nostalgia of sweet popsicles on a hot day, but in a way that fits with current alcohol trends. As Prinz Pinakatt, the Chief Growth Officer of Tilray Beverages in the U.S., said, the unique partnership is an example of how the company is producing "innovative brand collaborations to market quickly and at scale."

Trend Themes

  1. Nostalgia-driven Alcoholic Beverages — Combining childhood flavor memories with adult-oriented alcohol formulations creates scope for novel product lines that shift premiumization and emotional branding in the RTD market.
  2. Flavor-forward Non-carbonated Rtds — The focus on sweet, fruit-forward, non-carbonated canned drinks indicates room for disruptive textural and ingredient innovations that differentiate beyond traditional fizzy cocktails.
  3. Rapid Brand Collaboration Launches — Fast partnerships between legacy consumer brands and beverage companies suggest a model for scaling co-branded alcohol SKUs that can quickly capture niche seasonal demand.

Industry Implications

  1. Beverage Alcohol Industry — Established alcohol producers face pressure to diversify portfolios with playful, low-ABV, ready-to-drink offerings that could disrupt channel mix and pricing strategies.
  2. Licensed Consumer Goods — Iconic snack and candy brands entering alcohol segments point toward licensing-driven product extensions that may redefine brand equity and revenue streams across categories.
  3. Beverage Manufacturing & Co-packers — Growth in seasonal, small-batch co-branded drinks creates possibilities for flexible manufacturing and rapid SKU turnaround that challenge traditional production planning.
