One of the biggest advantages of the Amazon Alexa smart home assistant is its compatibility with other software and hardware systems, and the new Plex skill for Alexa is the latest example of that. The skill allows users to control Plex, the popular media streaming software, with voice commands rather than a remote controller.
Since Plex offers so many different forms of media on its platform, the Plex skill for Alexa is a versatile one. Not only does the skill let users open the Plex interface on their TV, but it also lets them browse through their libraries and play content simply by asking Alexa to show or play various titles.
Beyond even browsing, the Plex skill can also suggest content when prompted, helping indecisive users to avoid wasting time with aimless browsing.
