Amazon announced three new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features, including 'Character.AI,' 'Splash,' and 'Volley Games,' coming to its Alexa suite of devices. The Character.AI skill was developed through an official partnership with the developers of Character.AI who worked with Amazon to ensure the service works properly on Alexa devices. This tool enables users to talk to curated, custom-trained chatbots that replicate the knowledge and personalities of prominent figures. There are currently over 18 million different chatbots on Character.AI's service.
The other two tools released for Alexa devices are Splash and Volley Games. Splash is a generative AI tool that generates custom music based on word prompts. Lastly, Valley Games is a set of immersive video games that are played with only one's voice.
