Niklas Roy and Günter Schulz Create a Ball Pit for Grownups
Jamie Danielle Munro — March 25, 2014 — Art & Design
Adult play areas provide the perfect way for stressed-out grownups to wind down, and Niklas Roy and Günter Schulz have invented a ball pit specifically for this.
The installation uses a vacuum system to shoot the balls around in small tubes for entertainment, which then come out into the pit area for playing. The design is actually located inside a palace in Kraków, Poland, an unlikely venue for something of this nature. However, it works, as people love to come in and play in the ball pit for a short span of time. The installation is titled 'Suck the Balls,' a cheeky title alluding to how the yellow balls shoot around in the tube before coming out the other end. The system is almost dizzying at times.
