Planetary Orbit Wristwatches

Revolution and CVDK Released a Six-Piece Solar System Timepiece

The most complex planetary orbit wristwatch ever made just hit the market from Revolution x Christiaan van der Klaauw, releasing the ‘Grand Planetarium Eccentric Si14.’ It's the first wristwatch to display the eccentric orbits of all eight planets in real time, powered by a system of 3,338 gear teeth.

The watch comes in a 44mm stainless steel case with a scratch resistance rating of 1,200 Vickers hardness. The dial features a mirrored, oxidized silicium (silicon) finish that shifts between deep purple, green, and black depending on the light, with hand-painted miniature planets and orbital paths finished in 'Super-LumiNova' glow-in-the-dark paint.

With only six pieces available at $183,190, this collaboration signals that collector culture remains deeply intertwined with luxury wristwatch brands.
