Pixiv Artist J Gives Ugly Antagonists a Handsome Makeover

It’d be hard to root against Disney villains if they looked as handsome as these Pixiv artist J illustrations. Hades from Hercules, Captain Hook from Peter Pan, Jafar from Aladdin, Scar from The Lion King and Ursula from The Little Mermaid have all been given new appearances to make them infinitely more attractive than their movie incarnations. Though clichéd, the phrase "bad never looked so good," is entirely apt in this situation.

Not much is known about Pixiv artist J, the one who rendered these portraits, though it’s undeniable that he or she has a talent for painting. Judging from the brushstrokes and general adeptness with digital drawing, it’s safe to assume J is a concept artist of some sort, as the technical skill required to illustrate pictures at this level is no small feat.
