Conventional piggy banks restrict people from finding out how much money they have inside of them, but the app-enabled piggy bank is able to solve that problem with just a swipe on a phone.

The 'Porkfolio' is a smartphone-enabled piggy bank that tells a person how much money they have inside the piggy bank through an app in their smart phone. The smart piggy bank's nose lights up when a coin is inserted inside of it. The only way to open the Porkfolio is by using the app to open, according to the website. When someone tries to open it manually it alerts the owner through the app. The concept of the piggy bank was to teach kids about the idea of saving and online banking.
