There are plenty of camera accessories that address the limitations of smartphone photography, but the Pictar Pro manages to distinguish itself from the pack by focusing primarily on ergonomics. Designed for the phone photographers who crave physical controls, the Pictar Pro comes equipped with all the trappings of analog cameras of the past. This is then paired with an ergonomic physical shape that makes the phone more comfortable to hold while taking photos.

Unlike some other smartphone peripherals, the Pictar Pro doesn't use a physical or Bluetooth connection. Instead, the device connects using a high-frequency dual tone to communicate from the grip to the phone. These high-frequency dual tones make allow the grip's physical buttons to work with the phone, in the same way, touching the screen would.
