The Physical Defense Sunscreens Shield Against UVA, UVB, HEV, VIS & IR

The average sun protection product is now going above and beyond providing only broad-spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays, as seen by new products on the market like the new SUZANOBAGIMD Physical Defense Sunscreens from Obagi. The two new products, offered in broad-spectrum SPF 40 and tinted SPF 50 formulas, boast PA++++ ratings and are useful for shielding the skin from five light sources, including high energy visible light (HEV) or blue light, visible light (VIS), and infrared radiation (IR).

The lightweight, residue-free sunscreens are formulated with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, plus antioxidants to offer protection against free radicals and oxidative stress. The hypoallergenic and reef safe sunscreens are also appealing for their free-from formulas, which are made without parabens, dyes and synthetic fragrances.
