The Phyn Smart Water Assistant Can Detect Leaks in a Home
Daniel Johnson — August 28, 2019 — Business
The Phyn Smart Water Assistant was designed with Belkin and Phyn. It is able to monitor water usage, as well as detect any potential leaks in a person's home. Phyn Smart Water Assistant functions by attaching to the sensor to the hot and cold water system. The water assistant is then able to detect changes in water pressure at a microscopic level. Belkin states that the system is able to measure 240 samples per second. As the system has more time to be used in a home, it can even detect the unique patterns associated with each home appliance.
The smart home water assistant is priced at $299 and is also able to work alongside other smart home products like Alexa. Belkin and Phyn's water management system will be released in the United States at the end of September.
