There is something to be said for staying present and enjoying the experience wholly, which is why this service is trying to help venues establish phone-free zones. Yondr provides tools that disable mobile phones and allow people to experience live music more fully.

With a goal of showing people the power of a moment when they aren't focused on documenting or broadcasting it, Yondr enables venues and artists to create phone-free zones. Based out of San Francisco, the company developed a fitted cell phone case that limits the phone when inside the specified zone. This allows event attendees to keep their phones on them, but stops them from being able to take pictures, send texts or otherwise become disengaged.
