PetPace is an ingenious pet collar that monitors pets' health and notifies owners and caregivers when something might be up. Whilst many owners claim a deep communicative bond with their pets, it can be difficult to know when your pet is feeling poorly, and this is where the PetPace collar comes in.
The PetPace collar is fitted with sensors that measures pets' body temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, activity level, calories burned and body position. This data is transmitted wirelessly to a cloud-based server, before being relayed to the user's iOS or Android device and displayed on the accompanying app.
When a pet's vital statistics deviate significantly, the app notifies the user via notifications. Data can also be forwarded to a veterinarian.
The PetPace collar costs $150 for the collar alone, and there is also a $15 monthly service fee.
