This New Perfume Genius Video Features Haunting Imagery

In his new video for the song ‘Hood,’ Perfume Genius shows off his vocals alongside some hauntingly beautiful imagery with a short and simple song that will not only move you to tears, but also play in your head over and over long after you’ve listened to it. The video, which was directed by Winston H. Case and also stars adult film star Arpad Miklos, features tender images of Aprad making over the singer with lipstick and eye shadow and embracing him lovingly to a score of melancholic instrumentals.

The song picks up at about the halfway point and is transformed into and upbeat, catchy tune. The voice of Perfume Genius is powerful and yet, surprisingly angelic, making this video for his new album, ‘Put Your Back N 2 It,’ just a brief exploration of his talents.
