Cola-Branded Smartphones

The Pepsi P1 Android Phone Will Be Launched In China

In a next-level display of cross-industry branding, cola giant Pepsi is set to launch a new smartphone in China, called the Pepsi P1. The company teased images and specs of the phone on its Weibo account a few days ago. Pepsi hasn't actually gone and constructed the phone itself. Rather, an unknown phone manufacturer will be designing the device, although the branding will be Pepsi-centric.

The Pepsi P1 is an Android device and will be equipped with a 5.5-inch 1080p screen. Powered by a 1.7 GHz processor, it will offer 2 GB of RAM and a 3,000 mAh battery. Photos can be captured with a 13-megapixel camera. At an estimated price of only $200, this is a decent deal.

This is an interesting initiative from Pepsi, who will be hoping that the P1 doesn't go flat.
