Pierced Canvas Sneakers

Paura x Vans Authentic Collection Adds Italian Metal Hardware Details

Paura x Vans Authentic Collection reimagines the classic Vans Authentic silhouette through a collaboration between designer Danilo Paura and the California skate brand. Released to mark Vans' 60th anniversary, the collection includes two versions of the low-top sneaker featuring premium canvas uppers finished in muted black, brown, and neutral tones.

An airbrushed checkered diamond graphic extends across the upper, offering a hand-finished interpretation of Vans' signature checkerboard pattern. The shoes are intentionally distressed with scuffs, cuts, and worn details designed to evoke the appearance of heavily used skate footwear.

The collection's defining feature is a series of custom Italian-made metal components integrated directly into the design. Looping bars and ring-shaped hardware pierce through the laces and hangtags, creating a jewellery-inspired aesthetic that contrasts with the traditional skate silhouette.
