Brainwave-Patterned Scarves

Patterned scarves are the perfect way to accent an outfit, especially during crisp autumn weather. The NeuroKnitting project by Knitic is dedicated to creating these cozy patterned accessories -- but with a twist. Instead of simply designing different patterns using geometric shapes or some similar inspiration, Knitic uses prints of brain activity. To do this, they monitor the brain waves of different people using an EEG headset. The EEG device transcribes the brain activity onto sheets of paper using a needle and ink. Knitic then takes these prints and uses them when creating their beautiful knitted scarves.

These terrifically unique accessories are the perfect way to both keep warm this fall, while displaying a cool and original design. It's a pretty safe bet that very few people will have scarves with patterns created entirely from the brainwaves of different individuals. For that reason, Knitic is definitely one of the most innovative and exciting undertakings of recent years.
