VitalTech recently announced that the VitalCare remote patient monitoring platform will now also include a module for medication. Though the new remote patient monitoring system, clinical workers and patients can set reminders to take medication at different times throughout the day. The reminders can then be sent to a patient's tablet or smartphone, or through the Vital Bank Smartwatch. Patients can then mark medications as either, 'taken,' 'skipped,' or 'missed.'
VitalCare also has the ability to monitor vital signs, and nutrition intake. This is possible through Bluetooth-powered devices. Users can track their nutrition over long periods of time, including calories, as well as fat and sodium intakes.
Patients can also communicate with a clinician through video calls or virtual check-ins.
