Danish design studio 3XN designed an innovative service that adds to the growing patient hotels in the world. This unique service provides the comfort of a modern and contemporary hotel with healthcare and wellness practices of hospitals.
The patient hotel concept was created for patients who live far from their place of treatment, but need to stay overnight for examinations. The hotel-style accommodation is able to cater to a very specific type of patient, most of whom are typically not in absolute need for hospitalization.
The images above come from the latest of these string of hospitals in Copenhagen's Rigshospitalet. Two bright central atriums also create a welcoming environment for guests. Not only are patients treated to hotel-level service, there is also a restaurant on site. Each room is large, technology-equipped and even features a private balcony.
