Sanrio and Macy's are expanding parade merch with an exclusive Hello Kitty and Friends capsule built around a new giant character balloon. The collection translates the balloon's red-apple design into apparel, accessories, and home goods for Macy's shoppers and Parade fans.
The 23-piece lineup uses balloon-style artwork made just for Macy's, with women's and girls' apparel, bag charms, a plush charm and pin set, and seasonal decor among the items. It is available in select Macy's stores nationwide and on Macy's website, then reaches the Herald Square flagship on October 15.
Linking a parade balloon to a retail capsule turns a holiday event into a buyable souvenir, which gives the collection a built-in story beyond character licensing. The Macy's-only placement also makes the drop feel more collectible than a standard character assortment.
