The stool features a sturdy X-shaped wooden frame that is wrapped with a graphics-covered canvas seat section to create an artistic furniture piece that is perfect for sporadic use. When the chair isn't in use it can be folded up into a slim unit that is capable of being hung on a wall to transform it into a work of art that will stay discreetly out of the way until it's needed once again.
The conceptual 'Painting Stool' is the design work of Shen Wenjiao and is the winner of the 2019 Red Dot Design Concept Award.
