Guitar tech and engineer Tom Doyle -- who worked with the legendary guitar virtuoso and innovator Les Paul for nearly half a century -- has developed a set of PAF humbucker pickups. The project was begun by Les Paul himself, but the great guitar master died five years ago. After his death, Doyle took it upon himself to see the project through. The end result is a guitar pickup that offers high impedance along with a clear, dynamic sparkle.
In search of the Holy Grail guitar tone, Doyle developed these PAF humbucker pickups, which offer "an extraordinary combination of clarity and warmth, sweetness and definition, all with a fidelity that captures every nuance of the player and their guitar."
The limited edition pickups are hand-made to order and cost between $500 and $535 depending on the finish.
