Qantas is Changing Out-of-Office Emails from Boring to Travel-Inspiring

The out-of-office email plays an important role in informing colleagues and clients of absences. As informative as they are, they can also be incredibly boring to read. Knowing this, Qantas decided to put a stop to boring OOO emails with 'Qantas Out Of Office.'

The Qantas Out Of Office tool connects to one's Instagram account, meaning that when the next out-of-office email is sent, it will be embedded with a user's most recent travel pictures that are tagged with #qantasoutofoffice.

With this new tool, Qantas is making it possible for others to show others, rather than tell them, that they are out of the office and unable to answer emails and perhaps inspire email recipients to embark on an adventure of their own.
