The latest release in Collective Arts Brewing's limited-edition 'Origin of Darkness' line includes four barrel-aged stouts: 'Cloudwater Brewing of Manchester,' 'Dugges of Gothenburg,' 'Burial Beer Co of Asheville,' and 'Bellwoods Brewery of Toronto.'
A highlight beer is Cloud Water, an imperial stout made with Vidal Ice Win. This brew has been completed in Port barrels after being re-fermented with ice wine juice and must. Its varied malt profile of barley, wheat, and oats gives it flavors of sweet wine, Port spice, cinnamon, honey, and peach. Another standout, the Bellwoods, uses wheated bourbon barrels and Dulce De Leche flavors to deliver a stout that features notes of vanilla, caramel, and heated bourbon.
Available now at both Collective Arts retail locations, Origin of Darkness 2022 comes in four variations and features can artwork by Jordy Garca (BLUMOO.)
