Origin-Labeled Baking Flours

Wessex Mill Brings Nine Locally Grown Flours to Ocado for Home Bakers

Wessex Mill is bringing nine flours to Ocado, giving home bakers a single online stop for everyday and specialty baking. The family-owned British miller sells the range in 1.5kg bags, with 'Six Seed Bread Flour' and 'Pasta & Pizza Flour' among the products now available through the online grocer.

Produced near Hungerford in the North Wessex Downs, the core wheat comes from farms no more than 50 miles from the mill. Pack labels identify where the grain was grown, adding farm-level context to a pantry staple. Its milling history stretches back more than 125 years, while the current range keeps the focus on nearby wheat.

Ocado availability turns a regional flour maker into a routine grocery-order option instead of a destination buy. Grain-origin labeling also shifts flour toward the kind of traceability buyers usually expect in higher-interest food categories.
