The Opel Adam S Has An Upgraded Chassis and Engine

— September 25, 2014 — Autos
The Opel Adam S is a city car that takes the standard Adam car to the next level by giving it an upgraded chassis, not to mention a turbocharged 1.4-liter ECOTEC engine.

The new turbocharged motor produces 110 KiloWatts, equivalent to 150 horsepower. This motor will send the car from a stationary position to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds, faster than its predecessor. As it is turbocharged, the Adam S also provides 70% more torque than its predecessor, with its extra power and torque channeled through a manual six-speed gearbox.

Despite these impressive performance specs, the vehicle still provides a good fuel economy of 37 miles per gallon.

The Opel Adam S will be available in showrooms in early 2015, with interested customers able to place pre-orders in November. Opel hasn't yet revealed the price of the vehicle.
