It was reported that Apple is offering onsite repairs to some consumers located in United States cities. The list of cities includes Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. Onsite repairs will be completed by contractors, from Go Tech Services. Additionally, if consumers book an onsite appointment, the may be subjected to an additional fee. However, some repairs may still require an instore visit, including battery replacements.
Apple previously began to offer onsite repairs to its enterprise clients, with service appointments in as soon as one hour. Expanding the service could be popular with Apple customers who require repairs, due to the added convenience associated with scheduling repairs at a consumer's own home or workplace.
