Olympic Football Ads

The NFL Makes its Olympic Ad Debut With 'One Team'

While football isn't an Olympic sport, the NFL released its first Olympic Ad with its 'One Team' campaign.

The ad features groundskeepers repainting the turf of fields of various NFL teams to say 'Team USA' where it would normally read the home team's name. The ad was made through an NFL and US Olympic Committee collaboration. The tagline for the ad is "Football is Family", and while football players aren't competing in the games, NFL players and fans alike are cheering on Team USA in Rio -- the ad's slogan captures the unity felt across nations while watching their athletes compete.

The Star Spangled Banner, sung by St. Vincent, is playing in the background to make the ad as patriotic in tone as possible. The 'One Team' ad will run during NBC broadcasts until the end of the Olympics.
