The Once Upon a Time bookcase may be mistaken for a pile of old books at first glance, and for good reason. It was inspired by old books. Nevertheless, these 'books' are not only hollow, but are made out of wood. A unique shelving unit, to say the least, it is incredibly charming and imaginative.

Designed by Fabio Vinella, the Once Upon a Time bookcase can also be used as a seat. The bottom protrudes out just enough to be sat on while the backrest is fashioned from the pile extending toward the ceiling behind it. The cubby like slots are perfect for reading material. People are invited to sit on it as they read quietly.
