Nvidia Omniverse is a virtual world simulation and collaboration platform for 3D workflows that is in open beta and Nvidia recently introduced a 3D assistant creator called Omniverse Avatar. Unlike many virtual assistants that only exist as voices, an Omniverse Avatar gives the next generation of assistants friendly faces and full bodies too.
The interactive characters with ray-traced 3D graphics are said to be able to "see, speak, converse on a wide range of subjects, and understand naturally spoken intent." The customizable avatars are useful for helping with everything from customer service interactions to making appointments and carrying out banking transactions. These avatars are touted as some of the complex real-time applications ever created and they represent the future of hybrid work.
