To help keep children entertained over March Break, the Omni King Edward Hotel in downtown Toronto is extending its afternoon tea service to children under the age of 12. While afternoon tea is often seen as an adult affair, this new event puts a kid-friendly twist on an age old tradition.
The Jester's Tea event at the Omni King Edward Hotel is a special afternoon tea service designed to appeal to children. Kids are encouraged to dress up in their favorite fancy outfit while they enjoy a delicious afternoon snack. Unlike the hotel's traditional tea service, the menu for the Jester's Tea event consists of cupcake sugar cookies, strawberry cream scones, Nutella tidbits and double-decker grilled cheese. Children are also offered apple cider, milk or hot chocolate instead of tea.
The kid-friendly tea service demonstrates how adult-oriented events can be adapted to fit the needs of children during periods such as March Break or summer.
