The Olio Model One is a smartwatch developed by San Francisco-based startup Olio. This sharp-looking device is compatible with both iPhones and Android handsets, and runs on a time-based proprietary software.
Rather than merely mirroring smartphone notifications as some smartwatches do, the Olio Model One organizes your day using the system of 'past' and 'future' alerts. The past or 'earlier' streams comprise the typical phone alerts showing you things you may have missed during your day. The future or 'later' alerts help you map out the rest of your day, and include suggestions to help you stay organized -- for example, muting calls when you're in a meeting.
While smartwatches were borne out of a need for improved functionality, it's also imperative that they be stylish. The Olio Model One certainly combines the best of both worlds.
