Old Skool 36 Pearlized Yacht Club brings nautical-inspired detailing to one of Vans’ classic skate silhouettes. Drawing from sailing flags around the world, the latest iteration combines bold color blocking with pearl and crystal embellishments across a distressed upper. The detailing gives the shoe a customized, well-traveled appearance, while a high-gloss sidewall and detailed stitching reference the original Style 36 design. First introduced in 1977, the Style 36 was the second skate shoe created by Vans and the first to feature its iconic Sidestripe, before being renamed the Old Skool in the early ’90s.
The Yacht Club colorway reflects the Vans Premium approach with updated materials, comfort and fit while retaining the recognizable construction of the classic model. The release follows a Paris activation featuring DJ Hank Korsan at Fête de la Musique, highlighting the shoe within a broader setting of music, creativity and self-expression.
