With a new office yoga program, UTKATA Yoga is targeting professionals in Toronto who spend the majority of their days sitting at a desk.
Rather than having participants travel to a zen studio environment, UTKATA works with what spaces an office has available. As far as attire and equipment, there are no special requirements and the program is suited to people of all levels of fitness and flexibility.
The UTKATA Yoga sessions are designed in 30-minute segments, primarily with the office chairs that are already in use most of the day. Classes cost a flat fee of $75, no matter how many participants in a workplace are involved. Some of the benefits include reduced back pain, headaches, stress levels, plus increased productivity, focus and overall job satisfaction.
