One Ocean Bottle is Made from 1,000 Plastic Bottles

The Ocean Bottle, which has been dubbed "the world's most needed reusable bottle," recently made its debut on Indiegogo as a water bottle with a cause. While many eco-friendly reusable water bottles are useful for diverting single-use plastic waste from ending up in the world's many water streams, the Ocean Bottle sets itself apart as a design that actually helps to clean up the oceans—as 1,000 plastic bottles are used to make a single Ocean Bottle.

On top of the way that it helps to combat ocean plastic one bottle at a time, the Ocean Bottle boasts cleverly designed features, such as a carrying loop, insulation for hot and cold drinks, a leak-proof cap. Some of the other standout features of the bottle include its dual openings and dishwasher-safe design.

The Ocean Bottle also includes a NFC chip, so that as part of the next phase of development, rewards can be offered in partnership with juice bars, coffee chains, loyalty program providers and more.
